Note the built-in Workbench downloader update tool will not allow you to upgrade directly to the latest version.  You can download the newest version of MAX Workbench by choosing the download link associated with any of the MAX Workbench tools (Part Cloner, Quick Data Loader, etc) found under My Downloads.

    • Added the registration Site and Key on the initial Setup window. Will allow the user to enter the registration site and key during the very first startup of MAX Workbench. By the time the user is presented to the main window:
      • All of the registration info will be already preloaded
      • The user will not have to go Setup - > Registration and type in the Site and Key and click the load registration button
      • All registered applications will be automatically allowed for all companies and all users only during the very first setup. This can be modified at a later point if needed.
      • Application would be already downloading and installing afterwards
    • Added an installation queue so MAX Workbench can install one application at a time
    • Added an update indicator to the main window in the bottom right corner. Will be a visible notification that a new application or update is available.
    • Added functionality to auto update MAX Workbench. It will automatically download the new installer, will display a notification to the user, after approved by the user, the Workbench will automatically install the new version and launch it.
    • All Company users will be sorted in ascending order when displayed to the screen
    • All Application configuration will not be automatically deleted in case the wrong site and key were used. The information will be preserved but not used in this case and will be reused next time when a valid site and key are used.
    • Corrected problem with Company authentication on Login screen – it was always using the primary connection for authentication. Changed it to use the proper company connection string when authenticating.
    • Corrected problem with using the wrong user/company password after clicking the Enter button
    • Added functionality to check if the registration server is available and to avoid long timeout in case the server is not available.
    • Added functionality to add the MAX Client path to the environment variables
    • Added functionality to assign the necessary user permissions to MAX Workbench folder. This new feature will execute properly only if the user starting the application has admin rights. 
    • Modified the way the applications behave based on the CSP Expire Date. If the CSP Expire Date is still valid, applications can be used and updates will be downloaded. If the CSP Expire Date has expired, applications can still be used but updates will not be available.
    • Added a Suspend Date column to the Registration setup. If a Suspend Date has been assigned to an application and the Suspend Date is in effect (Suspend Date < Today’s Date), downloading of updates and application launch will be disabled.
    • Added functionality to resize the tiles on the main window and to save the selection per user
    • On the About dialog, added functionality to display the configured links from Action Manager
    • On the Tile Design dialog, replaced the label values of the sliders with text fields so users can directly specify the value by typing it in.
